also with problems like this you can work out how large the answer might be before calculating, 48/2 is a double digit number and multiplying that by a number wont give 2

Damn, and I just got my new MacBook yesterday
oh well, I caught the last round of iBook updates last year, and that left me on the bleeding edge for several months. I'll see what it looks like in second place for a while.
Plus if my MacBook gets lonely and depressed he can talk to my 1st gen PowerMac G5

How does this affect T-Bolt? How about the tri-gate technology released by Intel the other day. Sounds like Intel is making huge strides in their processors.

1. Apple has yet to release any official sales numbers on iPad 2 - at least I haven't come across this anywhere (this would be a perfect piece of anecdotal information at the beginning of a media event)
2. Phil Schiller said "white iPhone 4 coming spring 2011" (it's now officially Spring and we still haven't seen the white iPhone and therefore would make a nice 'Easter egg' with immediate availability also mentioned at the beginning of a media event)
3. Apple has typically held iOS media event previews in April (not saying they would never break cycle, just stating the obvious)
IDK, if I were a betting man, I'd say all signs still point to an April media event at which (during the beginning) SJ would announce official iPad sales numbers (for both U.S. and International launch weekends) as well as immediate availability of said white iPhone before proceeding to dive into some of the intricacies of iOS 5. Just my $0.02.

If you have a big refund, it means that you pay too much, so you are not being very good at your day to day application of math.
Also when you say American do you refer to any citizen in the American continent or just the people that was born in the United States of America?
Either way an American receiving a big tax refund means that a lot of his (or her) money was better used by the government than what he (or she) could have done with it. Taking us back to the same subject: poor application of Math skills.:o

This is a stupid rumor. Every year they same the same thing. "iPhone coming in April, iPad in January." The release for iPad 2 specifically said iPad 2 is for the next year. Done. Apple does everything on a specific timeline, this is one thing that separates them from android. You know you're not going to buy the iPhone 4 when it is released only to have the iPhone "Thunderbolt" released a month later.

1. Good tools
2. A device that can run their software well.
3. A market that lets them get paid

As an iOS device owner and as a developer that's now invested quite some time in an app for iOS (that has yet to ship mind you), I am watching the situation closely and hoping Apple does not let iOS fall behind the competition.

Call me naive (or perhaps paranoid) but I've been assuming my location is being tracked since I bought my first smart phone years ago.
I guess the fine point of difference is: It is stored on your phone (and computer where you do the backup), but it is never send to anyone ... so Apple is not tracking you since they never see that information. Saying Apple tracks you would mean that information collected is send to Apple, which is not the case.

As much as I want to see Apple sell phones, I also like to see healthy competition to keep away anti-trust issues. Apple is for people who like quality high-end stuff and Android is for Kmart shoppers ;)

Blah blah blah. Lack of AV software makes Macs very unattractive to business settings.
One of the barriers to integrating Macs into corporate and business environments is the lack of anti-virus tools. Yeah, you can dismiss this as FUD (and maybe there's some truth to that) but the fact remains--someday, one way or another, there will be a Mac OS X virus. I defy you to find one IT dept. in the country that wants to be caught off-guard by that. If you're going to have Macs in a business environment, the IT staff needs to know that they're protected in the event of an OS X virus outbreak. Whether any OS X viruses exist now or not and whether AV companies are trying to sell products with FUD is irrelevant in that context.
Those of you who want to see wider adoption of Macs in business environments ought to be happy to see this kind of thing showing up, regardless of whether you personally need it or not.
